Saint Louis Hospital, situated in Paris, France, was commissioned by Henry IV in 1611 to alleviate the strain on Hôtel-Dieu de Paris during the plague. Named in memory of Louis IX, it is now part of the Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris system. The historical site, constructed by architect Claude Vellefaux, serves administrative purposes, while modern additions house the current hospital and teaching facilities.
