Dr. Saim Ergün is an otolaryngologist with over 35 years of experience. Dr. Saim Ergün has been a primary physician in charge of BAHA (bone-anchored hearing aid), endoscopic surgeries for Zenker diverticulum, and treatments for vertigo and ear conditions.
Dr. Saim Ergün's education includes Otolaryngology Residencies at Nordland University, Sweden (1982-1983) and Çukurova University (1975-1979). He completed his medical education at Atatürk University (1970-1975) and Hacettepe University (1968-1970).
Dr. Saim Ergün's career includes serving as an Attending Physician at the American Hospital since 1999. Prior to this, he was an Attending Physician at the School of Medicine, Karolinska University, Sweden, from 1988 to 1999. He also held the role of Primary Physician in charge of Snoring and Apnea at the same institution from 1986 to 1989.
. Saim Ergün performed the first laser stapedotomy in Sweden in 1994 and subsequently carried out the same groundbreaking procedure in Turkey in 2001. He also introduced laser-assisted surgery for Zenker’s diverticulum at the American Hospital in Turkey in 1995.
Dr. Saim Ergün is a member of the Turkish Medical Association and the Turkish Association of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery. He has authored six articles published in various medical journals.
