Laser Tattoo Removal

One procedure to help lessen the appearance of undesirable tattoos is laser tattoo removal. In this procedure, high-intensity light pulses are directed by dermatologists or technicians toward the ink within your tattoo, sparing the surrounding skin. The ink heats up as a result of absorbing these light pulses. The ink is broken up into tiny fragments by this heat, which your immune system can then remove. As the ink fades, your tattoo begins to fade.

By using a high-intensity light beam to break up the pigment hues, lasers erase tattoos. Tattoo pigment that is black is the easiest to treat because it absorbs all laser frequencies. Only specific lasers can treat other hues depending on the color of the pigment. The age, size, and color(s) of your tattoo will determine how many treatments you require. The removal method will also depend on the color of your skin and the depth of the tattoo pigment. The laser will be used by the physician or technician to send light pulses through your skin. Your tattoo's ink absorbs this light and begins to disintegrate.  

Smaller tattoos will require fewer pulses, while larger ones will need more to remove them. In either case, it takes several treatments to completely get rid of a tattoo. After each visit, your tattoo should become lighter.
