Skin needling treatment involves the use of a derma roller or a derma pen, which contains multiple fine needles. These needles create tiny punctures or microchannels on the skin's surface, stimulating the body's natural healing response. The controlled micro-injuries trigger the production of collagen and elastin, two essential proteins responsible for maintaining the skin's elasticity and youthful appearance. As a result, the skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more radiant over time.

Procedure of Skin Needling Treatment

During the procedure, a dermatologist punctures the skin using a device that has fine surgical needles, creating controlled micro-injuries. As these injuries heal, the body produces capillaries, collagen, and elastin that reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars. The procedure is known as collagen induction therapy (CIT) or percutaneous collagen induction (PCI).

This procedure can benefit virtually any adult and is safe for all skin colors and types. Devices from these sources can have contact with the skin at several different angles, causing more damage to the skin.
