The Zayed Military Hospital Sharjah, situated within the Zayed Military City in the Al Shahama area, northeast of Abu Dhabi, UAE, is a state-of-the-art medical facility.
The newly designed hospital boasts a 260-bed capacity, featuring specialized units like ICU, Burn ICU, and Cardiac Care Unit, as well as medical, surgical, and pediatric beds. Additionally, the hospital includes a separate psychiatric center in another building, contributing to a total of 300 beds.
Spanning 121,000 square meters on 56 hectares of land, the Zayed Military Hospital Sharjah campus incorporates an ambulatory care component and housing for staff and physicians.
With 1,500 parking spaces, the campus is well-equipped to accommodate staff, patients, and visitors. A second construction phase is planned for expansion, intending to convert one-bedroom units into double rooms and increase the overall bed capacity to 500.
Given its focus on microsurgery, the hospital collaborated with EHS to supply and install Brainlab and Haag Streit products in the Neurology department. Haag Streit's operating microscopes cater to various specialties, including ophthalmology, neuro and spine surgery, ENT, plastic & reconstructive surgery, as well as dental and maxillofacial operations.
This project is a benchmark in terms of size and facilities, incorporating cutting-edge healthcare technologies in the UAE, such as Brainsuite ICT, Brainlab, and Haag Streit, making it one of the most advanced medical institutions in the region.
